Patient Sajan Devi belongs to a small interior village in Bulandshar. She has two sons, both are married and settled. Sajan Devi’s elder son is totally lost to drinking and gambling and doesn’t take care of his old parents. His wife expired after 7 years of marriage leaving behind two kids who are looked after by the old couple. Sajan Devi and her husband still works day and night to sustain themselves and the two kids.
Sajan Devi was suffering due to failing vision since last one and half year AND kept ignoring it because of financial constraints. One day her husband’s friend who had already came to ICARE Hospital through rural camps for his own eye treatment, suggested the old couple to visit ICARE to get free eye treatment. Sajan Devi reported to our eye camp in Anupshahr. Her vision was recorded, left eye 6/24 and right eye 1/60. She was transported to the base hospital in ICARE’s ambulance along with other patients.
At ICARE, Noida after detailed examination, patient was diagnosed as grade 3 pterygium (a benign growth of the conjunctiva) over the major part of cornea in right eye with senile cataract. Pterygium was causing vision deterioration. The patients was advised surgery which was scheduled on 29th December, 2016.

After surgical removal of Pterygium, patient was kept under medication for the wound to heal up completely. When the left eye cornea settled satisfactorily, patient was posted for cataract surgery with lens implantation in the same eyes.

Next day her bandage was removed and Miracle happened in her life …………she could clearly see again. Sajan Devi was in tears for regaining her lost vision many years back.
